Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative: 

The building of Hotel Ararat is about 150 years old. Before 2002 the building had not been a hotel and in very bad condition. The company of the owners of future Ararat Hotel has renovated the building, keeping the old architectural style outside, meanwhile turning it into a modern hotel up to international standards inside. So, the guests of the hotel can enjoy their stay in one of the oldest buildings of Yerevan City now.

The other project caring for the destination carried out by the same company is connected with environment. One of the most beautiful areas of North Eastern Armenia, Dilijan is famous for its Parz Lich (Clear Lake), located in the forest. For many years the lake was not cleaned, the road through forest was not feasible and the garbage was everywhere. Thanks to the efforts and investment of Ararat LTD, it is now one of the nicest and beloved places both for locals and tourists now. The lake is really clear, the road to the lake is safe and one can enjoy his day there by boat riding, bicycling, fishing, and horse riding. Tents are available for back packers for overnight stay. Family cottage accommodates 8 people.
