Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative: 

As part of our commitment to their local community, the Congress Hotel donates part of their profits towards the maintenance of the Mkhitar Youth Centre, located in Chortan Village which lies in the Traus region. The centre was established by the Mkhitarian Centre of Armenia.

They also care for the local environment, doing their bit to preserve the greenery of the parks surrounding the hotel. During winter, when snow and ice can make it hard for the locals to get around, the Congress Hotel finances ice clean-up of all the main streets. This greatly helps the people of Yerevan.
