Golden Tulip Yerevan Hotel is in a prime location next to Charle Asnavour. The hotel maintains its mystery and traditions of Armenian and Italian culture. The fantastic winter garden, used as a lobby, is located near a complex of fountains. Each fountain represents one sign of the horoscope. The staff are very professional and extremely friendly. Golden Tulip's outdoor rooftop pool and the cafe are gems from where you can glimpse the roofs of the city.
The hotel is a favourite of locals, businessmen and political figures. Many famous cultural and political figures such as writer Arshak Chopanian, Russian poet Ossip Mandelshtam, and well known Armenian film director Sergey Paragianov have lived in the hotel. The famous dissident Armenian poet, Yeghishe Charents, who was arrested by the Soviets and assasinated in prison lived in this hotel during 1920's.
