This Yerevan Hotel and Tour Booking Site is owned and operated by Christine, Odette and the team from 'Menua Tours'.

Our passion for tourism and the love of our homeland drew us into moving to Armenia from Boston, Massachusetts with our families in 1996 (Christine) and 1998 (Odette).

Back then, Armenia's lack of services in tourism was unbelievable. Friends and family who were travelling to Armenia as individual tourists and not with a group had a hard time to find the means to see the sights and enjoy their stay. We had to let our regular work go and drive them to the sights and tell them everything we knew about the country. We were acting both as a driver and tour guide, but we were doing this passionately and we loved every moment of it.

The number of visitors increased and it was almost impossible for us to continue. We saw the potential in the tourism industry, and having 20 years experience back in the USA made us seriously think about opening a tour agency which would concentrate only on incoming tours. (At the time there was not a single company doing private tours in 1996).

Our love of Armenia has led us to working with a number of charity organisations, such as the Armenian Relief Society. We enjoy making trips to local villages with the ‘All Armenian Fund' who currently have a project in rural development, and we try to be helpful however we can. Also, during our tours to the local villages we take our guests to a villager's house for a visit and a taste of the hospitality of the local people.

We also encourage our tourists to visit the local pottery artists who make their pottery by hand. We also take them to the local carpet factory and give them a tour of the whole process of weaving a carpet by hand. In this way we support the local culture and help sustain the local knowledge and skills of making these products. It also enhances the tourist experience for visitors.

There are so many reasons why we are proud of our country:

People's hospitality, especially in the local villages ,is heart warming. They welcome tourists and even locals in such a warmth that we have never seen anywhere else, without expecting anything in return. We also enjoy the basic way of life in Armenia and love the culture, food and human relationships.

The best part of working in tourism, especially in Yerevan, is the people side of it all. The cultural experiences and exchanges that happen daily allow us to learn about people from other countries, as well as establish contacts and friendships that can be kept for life. Through the internet, we have seen how this has become easier and easier. The opportunities are endless!

Menua Tours is registered in Armenia and has been active in Yerevan since August 1998. We are also a member of the Armenia Incoming Tour Operators Association. We provide tourists with the highest quality, flexible and affordable means to make a pleasant, unique and memorable holiday.
